Petunia is one of the most popular flowers for any gardener. They offer long-lasting and colorful blooms which will brighten your garden. Petunias need full sun or they will become spindly. Prepare the seed starting potting mix (it's recommended to use a specific potting soil for germination) and the seedling pot or tray. Pre-moisten the soil by watering until you see the water seep through the bottom of the pot or tray. 2. Wait around 15 minutes to dry up a bit. 3. Sow the seeds by gently pressing them into the seed-starting mix. Cover the container with cling wrap to retain moisture. This way, you don't have to water every day (it's also to avoid accidentally pushing the seeds deeper than necessary which will hinder germination). 4. Make sure the soil is moist until germination. Water only when the soil is dry (by spraying gently or watering from the bottom). 5. Place your pot or tray outdoor or near the windowsill to expose them to sunlight. Note: 1.
