China Aster, or Callistephus chinensis, is easy to propagate from seed. It grows vigorously in moist, well-drained soil in locations with full sun to partial shade. Stems are sturdy and can reach up to three feet tall at maturity. My experience: I sowed 10 seeds and sprinkle some soil very thinly to cover the seeds. 8 out of 10 started to germinate within 2 days, and 1 seed started to germinate after 2 days.
