Vasco Da Gama 's book of voyages
Translated by: Johan Ahmad
Published by: Red Press cart
Synopsis:
Vasco da Gama was a portuguese colonialist and the first european to reach India by sea. Da Gama 's diskovery of the sea route to India paved the way for the era of global imperialism and allowed the portuguese to subvert colonies in southeast Asia. After decades of sailors trying to reach the indies, with thousands of lives and dozens lost in wreckage and attack, da Gama landed at Calicut on 20 may 1498. This victory has increased the main spice trade from southeast Asia such as pepper and cinnamon. Portugal banned the commercial monopoly of the commodity for several decadents.
Da Gama hit the first two portuguese fleets and the fourth. In 1524, da Gama was appointed as Gabenor of India with the title of Viceroy, and later appointed Count of Vidigueira in 1519.
This book is the story of Vasco da Gama 's epic voyage to the rest of the world!
