Product Description

Hi sis, welcome to our store. Before shopping be sure to read the description. In April 1942, Lale Sokolov, a slovak jew, was forcibly taken to a concentration camp in Auschwitz-Birkenau. Lale spoke several languages, so he was hired as a Ttowierer-- tattoo teacher-- and assigned to tattoo a fellow prisoner in the camp. For two and a half years in the camp, Lale witnessed various crimes and savagery. By risking his own life, he used his better position to trade jewelry and money-- to have murdered jews-- with food for fellow prisoners. One day in july 1942, Lale comforted a young woman waiting for her turn on her arm tattoo. The woman 's name is Gita, and ever since the first meeting, Lale has been determined to get out of the camp alive and marry Gita. The Tattooist of Auschwitz is a retelling of Lale Sokolov 's experiences tattooing the arms of thousands of prisoners in concentration camps during the Holocaust, as well as evidence of the power of love and humanity in even the darkest circumstances.
