Product Description
Each sachet of DeliChef Herbal Tea Egg Spice Mix contains premium tea, herbs and spices for delicious herbal tea eggs. Each box makes up to 20 herbal tea eggs.
How to use :
*Preparation for 10 -15 eggs DeliChef Herbal Tea Egg Spices (2 sachets) 3 tablespoons light soy sauce 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
*Preparation for 5 - 10 eggs DeliChef Herbal Tea Egg Spices (1 sachet) 12 tablespoons light soy sauce 2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
Cooking Instructions
*Boil eggs until cooked (hard-boiled eggs). Set aside to cool. Herbal tea eggs are traditionally prepare with their shells on but you can opt to remove them before continuing with the next step.
Method 1
*Put approximately 2.2 litres of water (for 5- 10 eggs, use only 1.1 litres of water) in a deep saucepot. Once the water comes to boil, add DeliChef Herbal Tea Egg Spices, the eggs, light soy sauce and dark soy sauce. Reduce to medium heat and allow the herbal soup to simmer for about 2 hours. Add water when needed to avoid drying.
Method 2
*For convenience, the herbal tea eggs can be cooked in a slow cooker. Combine eggs, DeliChef Herbal Tea Eggs Spices, soy sauce and water in a slow cooker. Cook for approximately 3 hours until the flavour of the herbs has seeped into the eggs completely.
Serve hot. The leftover soup may be bitter after the long simmer and may not be suitable for consumption.
