Wheat germ is the nutrient-rich embryo of the wheat kernel that is removed during the processing of whole wheat grains to white flour and it makes up about 2-3% of the entire wheat kernel. It is good to include wheat germ as part of a balanced diet because it contains many essential vitamins, minerals and healthy fats. Dr Gram natural wheatgerm raw is also a good source of dietary fibre. Do not take wheatgerm if you suffer from gluten intolerance.
