1) Lettuce 'Osterley' (Lactuca Sativa) Baby Leaf - Early baby leaf lettuce variety, super fast and easy growing, it makes a great addition to any salads and garnishes, adding a crisp, juicy flavour and fresh look. Ready to harvest in 3-4 weeks once the leaves reach 5-7cm tall. This variety can be grown in pots, boxes, on windowsills or directly in the ground. Good choice for beginners, as well as little gardeners. 350-600 seeds/pkt.
Growing: Planting season: year round in tropical climate;
Soil: light, loose, fertile soil with a pH of 6.3-6.8, preferably rich in organic matter.
Sowing depth: 0.1/0.3in (0.5-1cm) deep.
Light: Full sun/partial shade;
Watering: regular to keep the soil moist (not wet);
Fertilizing: Highly recommended.
Seeds germinate in about a week.
2) Radish Red 'Sango' (Raphanus Sativus) Microgreens - Ready to harvest in just 5-6 days , this super green is valued for its especially nutritious, dark purple, tiny leaves. Can be grown outside or potted inside on a windowsill. Grown as micro greens. For continuous harvest plant seeds every few days. Super easy to grow. 5g of seeds.
Growing:
1. Soak seeds overnight to speed up the germination process.
2. Select appropriate container. A clean deli container with holes punched at the bottom is ideal for growing microgreens.
3. Pour fine-textured potting mix into the container.
4. Scatter seeds thickly over the moist soil.
5. Cover the container with a dark lid that has plenty of small holes to allow good air circulation. Check on the germinating seeds daily, and moisten the soil when necessary.
6. After 3-4 days, remove the dark lid and pick a bright location for the container. A south facing windosill where microgreens can get plenty of natural sunlight is ideal.
7. Give an emerging microgreens enough-but not too much-water. The soil should always be moist, but never flooded with water.
8. Once microgreens are a few inches tall and have developed small leaves, they are ready for harvest. To harvest the crop, use sharp kitchen scissors or a clean knife to cut microgreens close to the soil. Rinse and use seedling immediately, or store them in a resealable bag in the refrigerator.
3) Radish Sprouting Organic Microgreens - Organic, fast and easy growing green radish variety, perfect to add extra spice to salads, garnishes, soups. Can be grown to sprouts (3-5 days) or microgreens (7-12 days). Can be grown year round. 6g of seeds.
