Candelilla Wax is a wax obtained from the leaves of the Candelilla shrub tree which is native to Mexico and USA. Candelilla is similar to Carnauba wax, but it has a lower melting point and is softer. It is a vegetable wax that is often used as a substitution for beeswax and is rich in nutrients too. Due to its emulsifying properties, it is often used to add textures in formulas to prevent oil and liquid from separating.
