Fattoria Poggio di Sotto was founded in 1989 on the South East side of Montalcino, considered one of the best areas for the growing of Sangiovese. The property extends over some 32 hectares. 10 of which are planted with Sangiovese vines in the Brunello di Montalcino appellation. The vineyards gradually vary from 200mt to 400mt above sea level with steeve slopes. A very meticulous selection is done during harvest and the reception on a tapis roulant, the wine ages in Slavonian oak casks, for two years for the Brunello di Montalcino Riserva. Color: Light green. Aroma: Gentle and charming with a pleasant roundness. Palate: Flows pleasantly in the throat, unfolding a beautiful aromatic balance.
