We can't get enough of this cherry and chocolate balance. This wine is reminiscent of a cherry dipped in chocolate treat. Easy to drink and flavourful without becoming overbearing. Deep intense garnet appearance with red brick hues. Generous red cherries, plum and dark fruit on the nose for an enticingly fruity yet classic style red. The textured palate is spicy with flavours of oak, cold coffee, dark chocolate and blackberry jam. Fresh fruit supported by fine oak tannins. Full-bodied and elegant, the finish is long and punctuated with a tobacco aftertaste. Klein Constantia's KC range offers light, fresh and easy-drinking styles of wine. This wine is comprised of a 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 17% Petit Verdot blend. Grapes are sourced from vineyards in Stellenbosch and complemented with a large portion of their own Constantia fruit. The grapes are carefully hand selected and harvested. The grapes are delicately fermented, reducing extraction and creating a lighter style of wine whilst respecting the fruit and terroir. After fermentation, the wine is aged either in French oak barrels or stainless steel tanks for up to 14 months before blending and bottling.
