How to Put Wax On Braces
1.) Wash your hands & brush your teeth to prevent any bacterial infection.
2.) Locate the painful areas in your inner cheeks and lips where braces wires are poking.
3.) Pinch off a piece of wax about the size of a small pea. Avoid using a large quantity of wax but the size need to be at least sufficient enough to cover the bracket, as well as be moulded above/below the bracket. If it is too small, it will not adhere.
4.) Squeeze until it softens and roll it into a ball, then flatten the ball slightly
5.) Gently place the little ball of wax on the painful area. Rub it lightly. Place the wax on troubling bracket or wires to form a barrier.
6.) You can also use your tongue to adjust the wax if it's helpful.
Notice:
Please allow 1-3cm deviation due to manual measurement.
