Cd-r, CD-RW, DVD-RW and DVD-R
Recordable DVD and Rewritable DVD are optical disc recording technology. Both terms describe DVD optical discs that can be written by DVD recorders, while only'written' discs can be rewritten' that can be removed and rewrite data.
Dvd-rw is an optical rewritable disc and has the same capacity as DVD-R, usually 4.7GB. This format was developed by Pioneer in November 1999 and has been approved by DVD Forum. Unlike DVD-RAM, the DVD-RW can be played around 75% ordinary DVD player.
Cd-r and CD-RW differences are actually only located on both ability in performing data rewrite. Cd-r can only be used for one data storage, while CR-RW can be used repeatedly as it can be rewrite
