Why do we sell this? Been using 75 x 75 and 60 x 90 underpads for our love ones at home but somehow the size just does not quite seems enough. We have tried 80x150 and 80x120 but it is a real challenge to change and not to mention the cost! We have hence decided to manufacture our own. So far, 80x90 (70gsm) has been the right size for us. How often should you change? Normally the user will be wearing diapers and only when the diapers is saturated then it will overflow to the underpad. The underpad is there to keep your mattress cleaning to the minimum. so, you should change the underpad when it is wet. In hospitals, nurse change patient's underpad and diapers only every 4 hours and so when you visit your love ones in the hospital, they are usually already "swimming" in urine which sometimes you may or may not see. We know because we were always 24 by 7 in the hospital whenever our mum are admitted in the hospital. This is also the reason why hospital use thicker underpads. We understand why hospital have this regulation because they do need to plan out the limited human resources to manage the ward. Situation changes when the patient is at home. At home, we change the underpad whenever it is wet because we know the bed becomes hot and uncomfortable but if we change it so frequently the cost becomes very high as we go thru at least 5-8 pieces each day. After trying different size and different weight of the underpads, we have decided on 80x90, 70gsm. This size and weight meet our needs of changing the underpad very frequently and it is easy on the pocket. If you have the same usage pattern like us, please give our underpad a try.
